Soft and spreadable, a dollop of this flavourful tartinade will transform grilled beef, mushrooms and veg. It makes a wonderful addition to any cheeseboard, especially paired with salty olives and antipasto that cut through the creaminess. Matawhero’s Single Vineyard Chardonnay is a great match.
About the cheese/history:
Made with farm-fresh milk from New Zealand’s first buffalo farm, this creamy cheese is inspired by the regional flavoured soft cheeses found in France. Salted buffalo curd is combined with a delicate combination of herbs and garlic to create a deliciously versatile tartinade that lends itself to a range of dishes.
