Greenlea has its origins in Gisborne as a family butchery in the 1960s and is still owned and run by the same Egan family, with three generations of the family now working in the business. Although having grown hugely over the years, at the heart of the business remain family values as well as the belief that 100% grass fed beef is the best in the world.

Farmer Rick Burke from Katikati (see right) is one of Greenlea’s suppliers, his family farming the land for generations. Beef from the 300-hectare farm is carefully selected because it meets Greenlea’s standards on sustainable farming and 100% natural beef.
