Everyone admits it’s hard to say 
but no one can deny that Line’s Knækbrød has been a hit since it 
hit the shelves. Going from strength to strength and being awarded a Cuisine Artisan Award for her Cumin flavoured Knækbrød in 2015 meant Line knew she was on the right track.

Knækbrød is a very traditional
 Scandinavian flat/thin cracker bread.
There are many variations, depending on what Scandinavian country you’re in. In Denmark, where Line is from, they have a seeded Knækbrød and that’s what she has based her crackerbread on.

It was always Line’s dream to do something to do with food! She’s a passionate foodie and has always loved baking! But with small kids and settling into a new country she spent a number of years as an administrator before leaving that to get her foot back in the door of hospitality so she could keep her finger on the pulse and find out more about peoples food loves / hates.

Her mum came to visit about four years ago and they baked Knækbrød and she was reminded how much she missed having these moreish breads to eat as an alternative to toast, especially in the morning, and with great encouragement from friends, who had also fallen in love with the texture and moerishness of the seeded Knækbrød, she began to play around with the recipe to make new flavours and be able to produce them to sell.

Line set to work perfecting her mum’s recipe and created a beautifully thin vegan, yeast free, sugar free cracker that she rolls and bakes by hand. Line has four delicious flavours- Original, Cumin, Rye and Rosemary.

She has recently collaborated with our friends from Hallertau Brewery creating Danish Beer Crackers! A cracker made using spent malt (a by-product from the brewing process) and Hallertau No.3 Copper Tart Red Ale. Great with cheese, salmon, charcuterie or even just on their own! Now on the shelves at Farro Fresh.
